A few years ago, a good man named Sean Grattan moved to America to pursue a career in film. His departure left a gaping hole in the hearts of many of us left alone here in Auckland. This Wednesday, join us to remember life in a time when Sean Grattan was still around, and life was just... better. Here's a picture of him to enjoy while you get ready for Wednesday. With two of the three Yam Jammers hiding out in Peruvian forests at the moment, resident Yam Mr Rohan St. Clair will this week be joined at the hip by long-time listener, long overdue first time caller Mr Jubt Dontchaknow. A soulful man with funky footsteps and a passion for delicious boutique beers (like our charming Hallertau selection), Jubt is an able temporary member of this monthly Good Times Crew. The best of every decade is on offer tonight, amen.

Surfing USSR (Christchurch) LIVE

Describing their sound as "traditional klezmer melodies filtered through the individual band members backgrounds", Surfing USSR will be nothing if not a revelation this Saturday! Featuring the Great Southern Legend Mr Greg Malcolm - who has travelled the world for the past two and a bit decades with his experimental guitar prowess, amongst other things - this incarnation of Surfing USSR also features the Wizard Prince of Jazz, Mr Chris O'Connor on drums, Mr Marc Howe on bass, and Senor John "Sanctus" Bell on vibes!

DJ Dillamonster 8pm - 11pm
If Nigerian Disco Funk seguing into the Warning Sign soundtrack is your idea of a killer Saturday night... you're in some sexy kind of luck. The Dillamonster makes his overdue return this weekend, with a swag of records that'll blow your whistle, tickle your monkey, and squeeze your pineapples in all the right places.

Mr Kelly is a graphic designer and record collector recently returned to NZ having lived in New York City and Shanghai for the last 12 years - collecting vinyl and designing sleeves for record labels including Kompakt, Objecktivity, Mahogani Music Detroit, Defected UK and Still Music Chicago. After DJing at random bars in Lower Manhattan including King Size and Nublu... PK is back in the Big Little City, and ready to go this Sunday!

Unnecessarily pigeon holing himself in a period of music that occurred at least twice as long ago as his birth, DJ ANT-TOE-KNEE will be attempting to recreate the magic of 60s and 70s era Nuggets-esque rock'n'roll. If this goes well enough for him, he's likely branch off into some Merseyside stuff, and even some 90s Britpop. Wish the young man some luck.

DJ Dick's Myth

Until now, no pictures have ever been uncovered of this psychedelically minded former child star. Despite Wikipedia's best efforts, Dick's Myth has remained just that: a Myth. UNTIL NOW. Whilst trawling the junk shops of Waiuku, we discovered this 1973 LP (Near mint condition)... So we tracked him down - living in that little area between Hamilton and Cambridge - and he's agreed to come and DJ for us one more time before he dies. RESULT!

It's a welcome return to our decks for Monsieur Cammick, whose taste and record collection give us the jitters. He's a legend: running music magazines, record labels, and radio shows before anyone had even heard of the internet. Except for the US government. Who continue to spy on my every movement with their secret technologies. Mod, moog, soul, shake, shake, shake.

Tinker, tailor, soldier, and sailor... None of these come close the vinyl mastery displayed by Baker Johnny. From a scratchy sale-bin Cab Calloway LP to a rare Detroit garage rock acetate worth more than your house, it's all music to Baker, and it's all gonna get a spin this Saturday night. Wear your fancy skirts and make sure your hair is at its best... we'll take care of the rest.

Selecta Sam was on our Top Ten Most Wanted DJs list when we set about planning our little community of the Dawn... but the slimy bugger slipped through our fingers... but we've nailed him down now, and there's no turning back. Joined by his able cohort The Professor, Selecta Sam promises to churn out the kind of "sinful selection of dirty garage rock through to punk, funk & hard, gritty soul" that has made the pair's Devil's Jukebox parties such an unholy success.
